FEATURE FRIDAY

Every Friday, I feature another person who is using their artistic talents to glorify God (1 Thessalonians 5:11). I ask them to provide me with an image, along with a paired title and Scripture verse. This week, I'd like to highlight the work of Wayne Jeschke, who I’ve featured a few times before. He writes:

Although the hand of God is evident in all creation, some aspects can seem to shout it out louder than others. After experiencing the solar eclipse in 2017, I would suggest it as one such example. It was almost as though the earth was quieting itself as the wind died down and the insects grew hushed, just before the moment of totality. Like creation itself was anticipating this moment orchestrated by God.

Isn’t it wonderful to know that even as man increasingly tries to deny the existence of God, scripture declares that the rest of creation will yet praise Him!

Praise be to God!

You can also check out some of Wayne’s other work on his website.

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise him in the heights! Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his hosts!

Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars! Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens!

Let them praise the name of the Lord! For he commanded and they were created. And he established them forever and ever; he gave a decree, and it shall not pass away.

— Psalm 148:1-6 (ESV)
